we are off to Live Earth concert today at wembley stadium. typical, the one fine day of the year and we gotta go up to london. hope the weather lasts.
This weather is AWFUL. Its just not getting any better. I have all these new toys and its too wet and awful to use them. I can see why they say poms are always complaining about the weather. This is the worst summer yet!
I have booked a kite surfing lesson for Thursday and Friday this week. Wanna bet it will be miserable for that too.
We are going to a festival next week, lets hope it fines up by then. Dont want a repeat of Glastonbury mud.
I’ve just been watching the news and the floods in the UK are horrific. This is something I worry about living so close to the sea. I am actually in an area prone to flooding. I am on the 2nd floor so it shouldnt affect me too bad. Although some nights when it is really chucking it down with rain, I imagine I am gonna look out the window in the morning and see dolphins swimming around the flat.
Think I will keep our inflatable boat upstairs here for emergency.
We got tickets to the Live Earth Concert on the 7th July at Wembley Stadium. Cant wait, there are some good lineups. I reckon you’ve even heard of some of these Mum.
So far Madonna, Genesis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, David Gray, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, Ray La Montagne, John Legend, Keane, Damien Rice, Bloc Party, Razorlight, Corinne Bailey Rae, Black Eyed Peas and James Blunt are confirmed for Live Earth with more acts to come…

This is gonna me my new toy. I might buy one on the weekend. And the best part is, its inflatable and folds down to nothing. So guess what I will be checking in my luggage when I come home next. Dad, you got room in the garage?

What is the deal with this poxy weather. I have all these new toys but am unable to use then due to crap weather. We have been out in the inflatable kayak only once since we bought it. Been out on the roller blades only once. My windsurfing lessons have ground to a halt. Summer will be over before I know it and I wont have acheived anything. So to help me reach my targets I have made a “things to do this summer” list.
I’ve been a bit blogslack lately. Not much has been happening. I am down to 60.5kg which is great,I just need to keep it that way. I fell off the wagon big time over the weekend, drinking 2.5 bottles of wine and 3 beers. I am really sick of my detoxinabox diet. All the food is now tasting the same and I seem to be constantly hungry so am sneaking in extra meals. The weather has turned to crap, so I havent been doing anything interesting. Mikes daughter cooked us dinner last night cos it was fathers day here.
I have a big weekends work coming up on Saturday so this week will be pretty busy.
We went up to London on Saturday to get my motorbike which has been sitting in the Baribcan carpark for the last couple of years. Luckily it was still there.
We did a diversion to our favourite shop in London, which has everthing you could ever want. We bought some roller blades, some fishing rods, some snorkeling gear, a swiss ball, some metal water bottles for our bikes and some bright cycling shirts.
We were up at 7.30am Sunday morning, eager to give the rollerblades a go before it got too busy down the waterfront. It was fun, tho a little wobbly. And I have no idea how to stop in them. It was Mikes first time on them and I think he quite enjoyed it tho he’s not sure.
After our rollerblading, we jumped on our bikes and rode over to Swanage. Lots of steep hills and we were buggered by the time we got there. So we decided to catch the ferry back to Poole. This is a lovely scenic trip past chalk hill cliffs with caves and the Old Harry Rocks.
I think I wanna buy a boat now.
