Departed San Francisco for the Napa Valley. We didn’t really know what to expect or where to go. We stopped for lunch and asked a man. He suggested going to a quaint little town called Calistoga. So we did and stopped at a few wineries on the way. Most of the wineries charged for tastings, so we tried a couple, didn’t like, and decided not to do anymore.
We found Calistoga and found accomodation to be very expensive. We chose a place with a spa pool and heated swimming pool. Spent the afternoon lazing in the sun, reading a book.
That night we went to the most expensive restaurant in town. The wine was divine, and at $15 a glass you would expect it to be.

Left the Napa valley and headed for Lake Tahoe. Along the way we saw snow. We arrived in South Lake Tahoe and it was gorgeous. So much accomodation to choose from so we found an apartment right on the lake. It was fully self contained too. We had a little wander around the town and I saw a brochure for snow mobiling. This I really wanted to do. We headed back to apartment as mike wasn’t feeling well. It sounded very much like flu symptoms. He tucked himself up in bed with a couple of painkillers, while I sat up and drank beer.

Mike was feeling much better so we decided snow mobiling was the way to go. It was awesome and so pretty. A little tame though. We would like to have some some jumpy things.
