5 Mar 2008 – Movie World

Today we used our free tickets to go to Movie world. All the rides were free.

We looked up at the scariest, most extreme ride there called Superman and we all declared, “No way would I ever do that!” An hour later we are all queuing up for the ride. Jenny said we were doing it and that was that! It was like doing my first sky dive all over again when Jenny was my jumpmaster. All I could see below me was cloud when I whined “but it’s cloudy” and Jenny replied, “Just shut up and jump!”

Back in the queue we are all very apprehensive. I am starting to have a panic attack and breathing is hard work. We are all strapped in and it’s too late to change our minds. The ride goes through a subway where there is carnage from an earthquake. The lady behind me is screaming already, “I wanna get off, I don’t wanna do this, let me off”

Then we stop briefly, and suddenly we are shot up in the air at an acceleration I have never experienced before. We did 0-100kph in 2 sec and experienced 4.5 Gs. Then we reached the top, and experienced –1.5 G before being plummeted straight down. I didn’t just scream, I swore, and I swore big time! It was AWFUL and the most scariest thing ever. Then it was a series of ups and downs and sideways and stuff. I knew the worst was over so just enjoyed the thrill. Pity I couldn’t say the same for Mike, who was screaming like a girl in the seat next to me. He was so not enjoying it.

After the theme park we went out for the worst meal I have ever had. It was Italian, and we ordered Oysters Kilpatrick as a starter, and they came out smothered in a barbeque sauce.

Then Jenny’s morten bay bug was off and my risotto was boiled rice with some veges and prawns added. We didn’t touch our meals and refused to pay. The chef should be shot. Then Jenny announced she had a bad meal there last week and two of her friends said the same. Nice one Jenn!
