After a leisurely start and breakfast on the South Bank in Melbourne, we headed off to Phillip Island for some penguin spotting.<\/p>\n
Our first night in Phillip Island we camped under a possum\u2019s toilet. The night went something like this:<\/p>\n
Jo: That possum just pissed on the tent!
\n5 sec later
\nJo: That possum just shat on the tent! Dirty effing animal
\nThis carried on for a few hours until 2.30am
\nJo: Its too noisy, I\u2019m gonna sleep in the car
\nTent: zip, zip, zip, zip
\nDory: click (remote control), door open, door slam
\n5 sec later
\nDory: door open, door slam, click
\nTent: zip, zip, zip, zip
\nJo: It smells like Melon in there (and crawls back into sleeping bag)
\n10 minutes of more possum pooing and peeing
\nJo: That\u2019s it, I\u2019m not putting up with this any longer, I\u2019m going to sleep in the car and you\u2019re coming with me
\nMike: (rolls over and goes back to sleep)
\nTent: zip, zip, zip, zip
\nDory: click, door open, door slam, door open, door slam
\nThump, thump, rustle, rustle
\nDory: door open, door slam, door open, door slam
\nTent: zip, zip, zip, zip
\nJo: Ok, Dory is ready for sleeping in.
\nMike: (gathers his sleeping bag and pillow and staggers to the car still asleep)
\nTent: zip, zip, zip, zip
\nDory: door open, door slam
\nJo: should I open a window?
\nMike: No, creepy crawlies will get in
\nJo: What if the gas bottle leaks
\nMike: It won\u2019t leak
\nJo: Can you unlock the car? I\u2019m worried the remote control will fail and we\u2019ll be trapped in here.
\nMike: whatever
\nDory: Click
\nMike and Jo: snore<\/p>\n
