Today we had a much needed rest day.<\/p>\n

We had a sleep in and late breakfast then wandered around the markets.<\/p>\n

I bought some cortisol cream for my bite, then sat and had coffee, followed by lunch down by the river, followed by an afternoon nap.<\/p>\n

At dinner we met two young guys we had been passing on the trail over the last two days. They also had a rest day here. Neither of us could speak each others language but we communicated by pointing to our sore bits.<\/p>\n

I feel like I have had enough of walking but we’re only about 1 week away from st jean pied de port so feel we should at least make the effort. We’ll see how it goes.<\/p>\n
