{"id":254,"date":"2008-01-18T02:48:10","date_gmt":"2008-01-18T00:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.wheresjo.com\/2008\/01\/18\/snorkelling\/"},"modified":"2017-12-21T22:10:01","modified_gmt":"2017-12-21T22:10:01","slug":"snorkelling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wheresjo.com\/?p=254","title":{"rendered":"Snorkelling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Mike<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A few years ago when I took a week off work to do my motor cycle training and test my kids thought I was going through a mid life crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Then when Jo and I brought a kayak, my kids thought I was crazy.<\/p>\n<p>When we then brought a sail board, they knew I was bonkers.<\/p>\n<p>And when I gave up work to tour New Zealand and Australia they were going to get me committed.<\/p>\n<p>Well they should have, because now at the age of 54 I am over coming my fear of the sea and learning to snorkel. The first attempts weren\u2019t too good although I was only in a few feet of water. I should really have breathed through that pipe thing instead of my nose.<\/p>\n<p>But having made that mistake I soon learnt and haven\u2019t done it since.<\/p>\n<p>I am getting better at each attempt.
